Partnering is not always a quick fix — but it can be a strategic solution. The climate is changing in higher education such that more schools are looking to outside partners to add skills, invest dollars, and close capability gaps.
Finding the right partner matters. In recent years, we have seen an influx of new players in the vendor space — including software companies expanding into services, venture capital-backed firms creating new start-ups, and big companies absorbing smaller rivals to add capabilities. Many use a “black box” methodology and offer little transparency. Many promise big results, but point to “wins” from years ago when there were far fewer competitors.
