University of New Haven’s Investigations – Enrollment Management Case Study

The Background

After two previously successful enrollment management engagements, the University of New Haven approached JMH about providing marketing, recruiting, and retention services for a new online program – a Master of Science in Investigations. University of New Haven is known throughout the northeast for its criminal justice offerings, but this graduate degree was a new offering and one of the first of its kind offered in the nation. They had high hopes for its performance, but also knew that such performance would be dependent on quickly building awareness among a wide range of investigation fields.

The Approach

The MS in Investigations is a unique program with concentrations in Financial Crime, Digital Forensics, and Criminal Investigations. JMH launched a sophisticated national marketing effort that integrated SEO, email, paid social, and paid search platforms as well as building upon professional associations with which New Haven had developed partnerships.

The Results

Within the first 6 months of the partnership, the University of New Haven had 21-course enrollments. During the following three terms, course enrollments grew exponentially to 270. Our thoughtful approach to recruiting and retention, combined with this unique program, had led to robust success for the university.
