New York Times Knowledge Network
The New York Times Knowledge Network partners with universities across the country to provide an online platform to offer classes and expand the reach of their university partners. The New York Times wanted to build a website that reflected its brand and also met the needs of the adult continuing education student. The New York Times also wanted to improve the metrics on the website by decreasing the bounce rate, increasing pages per visit, and improve traffic from search engines.
The New York Times Knowledge Network hired JMH to consult with and help architect the new website. JMH guided the redesign of the website and helped to ensure that visitors could quickly and easily find the courses in which they were interested. JMH also helped the New York Times Knowledge Network achieve the following results from the new website:
- a 44% improvement in the time visitors spent on the site
- a 24% improvement in the bounce rate
- a 69% improvement in traffic from organic searches
- a 136% improvement in the number of pages viewed by visitors
