University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill

The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill offers credit courses through its Carolina Courses Online portal. UNC wanted to enhance its online marketing for these offerings and reached out to JMH Consulting to help with pay-per-click campaigns. UNC had the following goals for the PPC campaigns:

  • Increase online marketing to improve registrations and awareness of online courses
  • Achieve 2000 "click throughs" from UNC's pay-per-click ads to the UNC website
  • Maintain an average cost per click of less than $2

After working with JMH, UNC was able to surpass these goals and achieved the following results after the first round of PPC ads:

  • Total clicks: 2,169 (108% of goal)
  • Average cost per click $1.89 (5.6% above the goal)
  • 27 additional registrations as a result of the PPC campaigns

UNC expanded it's engagement with JMH to include their Self Paced Courses as well as the Carolina Courses.
