Johnna Weary

Director of Marketing

With seven years experience as an Online Marketing Consultant with JMH Consulting, Johnna Wickstrom Weary has planned, launched, and optimized paid digital and social media marketing campaigns for many of JMH’s higher education clients including University of Houston; University of Oklahoma; University of California, Irvine; Brown University; Emory University; McMaster University; and University of Richmond. She is currently responsible for managing more than $750,000 in annual campaign spend for clients. In January 2015, Johnna was excited to take on the role of Marketing Manager for JMH.

Johnna specializes in strategy, build-out, and management of Google Paid Search, Google Display, Bing Paid Search, Facebook, and LinkedIn advertising campaigns, as well as the design and development of targeted campaign landing pages that allow university clients to capture important information about prospective students. She has developed strategy and managed budgets for a range of client programs, including noncredit certificates, pre-baccalaureate programs, degree-completion and bachelor’s degrees for non-traditional students, as well as master’s and executive-level degrees and certificates– offered in a variety of modalities, including in-class, online (synchronous & asynchronous), and blended.

As Director of Marketing, Johnna continues to play an integral role in developing and refining JMH’s approach to client relationships and marketing optimization, with a focus on sound data and overall business impact. Johnna emphasizes the ways in which JMH Consulting can be a partner and advocate for each university client, helping them to achieve business goals, often with increasingly limited resources.

As a client-facing consultant, Johnna meets regularly with JMH’s university partners to discuss campaign performance, program strategy, and quarterly optimization initiatives. She enjoys these regular interactions with clients, who are an important part of the process of developing and refining marketing campaigns.

Johnna was once conversational in Russian and received her undergraduate degree in Russian Language and Culture as well as Dance and Movement Studies from Emory University. She has a Master of Fine Arts in dance from California State University, Long Beach. Currently, Johnna works out of the West Coast office in Los Angeles.
