From 2002 to 2010, Jon also served as acting Director of Professional Programs at Emory University’s Center for Lifelong Learning where he sparked a 500% increase in continuing education revenues.

A dynamic presence in the field of higher education for more than fifteen years, he has delivered dozens of presentations at regional and national conferences for higher education associations such as UPCEA, ACHE, LERN, CAUCE and CMED. He also delivers frequent webinars on higher education marketing and management.

Jon has authored more than two dozen course manuals, including such titles as “So You Want to be an Entrepreneur?”, “Starting and Running a Successful Website”, and “Search Engine Marketing.” His courseware has been used by dozens of organizations nationwide.

As an educator, Jon has spent thousands of hours teaching for schools like Emory University and Southern Methodist University, as well as corporations such as The Home Depot, UPS, and Coca-Cola. His students describe him as a dynamic presenter with remarkable enthusiasm and a knack for translating complex concepts in layman’s terms.

Jon holds numerous professional credentials, including certifications in online marketing, and was honored to receive the 2009 UCEA (now UPCEA) South Region Professional Continuing Educator Award (the first time such an award has ever been awarded to a non-university employee).

Jon is married to Nicole Foerschler Horn who has been not only his wife, but his business partner for more than a decade. When not working or raising children, he plays in competitive volleyball leagues around Atlanta. He currently plays strong side hitter for two local teams. Volleyball provides a chance to blow off steam, socialize, and get in a great workout. It sure beats going to the gym!
