Shannon’s experience in education includes working in operations for The Children’s Museum of Atlanta and the High Museum of Art. Her professional background also includes working in the legal field, various roles in nonprofits, customer service and sales, and most recently in architecture.
She has a keen appreciation and dedication to life-long learning as she earned her degree as a non-traditional student. As an Admissions Coordinator for JMH Consulting she shares this passion as a point of contact with other non-traditional students and loves helping others pursue their educational goals.
Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, Shannon has called Atlanta home for over 20 years. She holds a BA in English Literature from Georgia State University, and her love for reading and writing never ceases. When not reading, she and her husband are active members of their neighborhood association, advocates of children in foster care (they are currently in the process of getting licensed with the State of Georgia), spending time with family and friends, or seeking out the best tacos. She has a step-daughter who lives in Brooklyn, New York; two beagles, and a feral cat (who seems to be staying put).
