Doug Solomon,
Program Management Consultant
With a 25 year record of achievement in adult education in a variety of postsecondary institutions Doug is a strong addition to the JMH team in his role onsite manager for Open Enrollment Professional Learning Programs at Emory University’s Center for Lifelong Learning. Doug joined JMH in February 2008 and has already had an impact on both enrollment and profitability of the IT@Emory and Professional Education course offerings for which he is accountable.
Doug’s valuable professional experience includes key administrative positions at University of Pittsburgh, Central Michigan University, Clayton State University’s Continuing Education Programs, The Technical College System of Georgia and DeVry University. Among many accomplishments he considers perhaps most significant assisting a private technical college achieve and maintain regional accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Prior to joining JMH Doug considers his leadership role successful assisting military families transition from their military to private careers to have been most personally rewarding. This supportive program was based on linking the veteran and his or her family with well-compensated employment opportunities and included corporate partners like The Southern Company, Bell South, CSX Railroad, GEICO and Bank of America.
Doug entered the education field as a high school teacher after graduating with a BS in Education from Ashland University in Ohio. He moved to the post-secondary administrative level after completing an MA in East Asian Studies at University of Pittsburgh.
